Co-Workers
At the club, I try to stay on every girl's good side who I work with. I figure that is the only way to peacefully make my money. However, it seems like bitches just LOOK for ways to start drama.
I hate when other dancers bombard a customer who I'm clearly already sitting with. I was dancing for a guy once, and she actually started talking to the guy in the middle of my dance. Then while I was on stage, she starts dancing for him and when I go back over to him she's rubbing his dick. I hate shit like that. I just grabbed my stuff and walked away. Usually the customers who are worth while don't let girls interrupt my company so rudely in the first place.
I also hate when the dancers come in the club as a customer, although they work there, and hustle the customers for drinks. Why can't they do that at another club? If they felt like sitting their ass at home, then that's what they should do...not come in the club any damn way and take the attention off of us. It's bad business to let all the customers see you in your street clothes anyway- it takes away from the fantasy, which will eventually ruin your income.

Introduction
I wanted to start this blog not so much about my personal life, but my life at the club- the strip club. I have been a stripper for about 3 years now. I am 22 years old, so yes, I did start this job at a young and very naive age. My work has it's ups and downs, as every job. I experience so much at work, and I want to share all of these experiences to anyone willing to sit down and read this blog.
First, I'll give you some background information about myself and how I became a dancer. I came from an okay childhood. Though, not picture perfect, by any means. My dad was a struggling musician and spent time in drug/alcohol rehab, but my mom couldn't have done a better job of raising me and my brother even though money was always extremely tight. We were usually on some type of welfare, and we were even donated things such as food and Christmas presents. So, I grew up without money. I hated that.
I did a little less than average in high school, except in my music and art classes. I excelled in those. I was placed in both advanced art and chorus. I graduated with an art portfolio, which got me a scholarship to attend a very good college as an art major. I spent two years there before realizing that I no longer wanted to go down that path. I wanted to persue music, my ultimate passion. So, I stopped going to college purely by choice.
I had always loved to dance, and was always somewhat fascinated and curious about exotic dance. I also really wanted to have a good income, considering my parents weren't able to help me out at all financially. The first time I went to a club to ask for a job, it was actually the first time I had even been inside a strip club.
I had heard about a club that didn't require a permit, so I chose to try that club first. My boyfriend rode with me, because I was so nervous and I didn't want to go completely alone. We pull up at the club, which was a small building with no windows. There were hardly any cars in the parking lot. I was actually surprised at how shaggy the place looked. Nevertheless, I knew I had to shake my nerves away and walk to the front door. I approached the front door, where a tall man guarded the place. There was then a second door which led to the inside of the club. I asked for the manager, and I was told to wait while he was called to the front. He then greeted me and welcomed me inside.
I remember walking into that first club. It was almost surreal. It was dark....very dark, except for the colored lights that shined above the stage where a girl was dancing. Over towards the corner, there was another dancer wearing stiletto boots and a T-shirt, which I found a little strange. I couldn't believe I was here to apply for a job to be one of these girls!
So back to the office I was led, where I was then given all the paperwork and the club rules were reviewed. I was told to show up at work two days later. So, I walked back through the club and out the front door. That's when my journey as a dancer began. Now it was time to buy some stripper appropriate outfits and shoes, and a garter of course.
My first night at work had my stomach twisted in knots. The girls seemed so cold and almost crude. I was assigned a locker to keep all my belongings in. (Mind you, at this time I was completely naive to anything that actually goes on in a strip club). The dressing room was so small, but it was so full of girls just walking around with no clothes on as if it didn't phase them at all. I wasn't shy, I just found it a little strange to be naked in front of so many strangers. But, I sucked it up and changed into my white two piece outfit and black boots. I slapped on my make up and then I was ready to start my first night as a dancer!
When I walked out on the floor, I was asked what I would use as my "stage name". A girl suggested Mya, so that's what I went with. There were hardly any customers in the club, so I felt like I didn't have anything to do. I wasn't used to having a job where I could relax whenever and however I wanted, but it seemed all I could do was have a seat and wait for something to happen.
At last, my dreaded first time on stage arrived. My name was called, and I reluctantly walked up those stairs to the stage I was so fascinated with the day I was hired. Honestly, I did a horrible job! HORRIBLE! I couldn't dance in the heels, the floor felt slippery, and my dumb ass actually tried to spin around the pole. Needless to say, that made me feel like a complete fool.
That first night as a dancer was bad. It was real bad. The shoes hurt my feet so bad, but the house mom was so sweet and she actually massaged my feet for me. She was one of the only ones there who made me feel the least bit comfortable. I woke up the next day with a sore body. I had never danced so much in my life, and in heels on top of that!
So, that was my beginning to becoming a stripper. So much has happened since that first night at the club. I now work at a great club with great clientele. I am so excited to share my stripper diary with anyone who takes the time to read it.
